Why we created this role?
- We are increasing ours Global R&D footprint.
- For most of our projects we use the Atlassian suite to assist development. This encompasses products like Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
- We require a very experienced Atlassian administrator to be part of the existing infrastructure team that manages the current installation or around 2000 users and teams worldwide which is growing. It is expected the candidate will also have experience in virtualisation administration.
- Opportunities also exist to get familiar with the projects themselves and offer expert assistance although this is secondary to the running of the service.
- The systems to be maintained are worldwide.
Your main tasks:
• Administration of Atlassian suite – handling users, project/user partitioning, SW licences, certificates, upgrade and cost planning.
• Virtualisation layer support – installation, configuration and monitoring of VMs including management of different virtualisation platforms.
• IT Infrastructure – general network and server support for existing infrastructure.
• Ensure the Atlassian environment is secure
• Knowledge transfer to other close team members.
• The infrastructure runs 24 x 7 but our primary support hours are 9-5 (flexible) Mon-Fri, the candidate must be able to occasionally work outside of normal hours for supporting this.
• Available to take short business trips worldwide.
